CLEANWATER / A c t i o n s                        IMPORTANT TO RETAIN

During 4-5 March 2014, the gathering of Cleanwater team with the representants of Vaslui County Department of Agriculture, involved in the implementation of the Nitrates Directive took place.

Purpose of the meeting was to install on computer Decision Support for the Management of Manure at Farm and Village level (SDGGG), operating instruction manual that includes the best and latest measures, recommendations, solutions and methods of manure management stable, taking into account national and international legislation, codes of good practices, guidelines farming skills.


Together with representatives of the County Agricultural Vaslui made a SDGGG analysis, of recommendations on modern techniques for handling manure contained in Explanations that complement SDGGG, if the system helps the farmer to evaluate the characteristics of the farm and to define exactly the situation that is found, to establish the necessary actions for monitoring / improvement / development of farming, etc

Representatives of the County Agricultural (DJA) Vaslui appreciated the computer system decision on manure management proposed in the project as particularly helpful for any farmer. It was also considered that the structure SDGGG presented enables evaluation and determining actions to be taken in the farm business and ultimately improving prioritization of decisions. Experts from the DJA Vaslui appreciated that the information provided in the Decision Support, come to support their work in the implementation of the Nitrates Directive.

During this period, the project team Cleanwater met with farmers from Vaslui County, and the scope of meeting was the installation of computer Decision Support and consulting them on any navigation problems in the system and if they consider that some of the solutions and methods of the manure treatment given by these may be applied in the farm and also proposals, suggestions for improvement SDGGG. They appreciated the specialized information are needed and that their mention in one centralized framework will be helpful. Also, they considered as very useful the presentation of the experience of other European countries in manure management and addresses their contact details as well as information on national and European legislative requirements in the field.
